1. Introduction

The International Conference on Geoinformatics was initiated by the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS) in 1992. Over the past three decades, this international conference series has provided a unique forum for exchanging innovative ideas, presenting cutting-edge research, and promoting international collaboration among GIScience professionals worldwide.

The International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS) and the Faculty of Geomatics, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, warmly welcome you to the 34th International Conference on Geoinformatics (Geoinformatics 2027), which will be held on July 9-11, 2027, in Lanzhou, China.

The theme of Geoinformatics 2027 is "Trustworthy GeoAI for Resilient Urban Futures." Rapid advances in geospatial technologies, artificial intelligence, and urban sensing are fundamentally transforming how cities are understood and managed. GeoAI is increasingly applied in urban planning, environmental monitoring, public health, and disaster response. However, these developments also introduce critical challenges related to uncertainty, reliability, interpretability, and ethical use.

This theme aims to advance robust, transparent, and human-centered geospatial intelligence. The conference brings together scholars from GIScience, remote sensing, urban analytics, data science, and related fields to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, methodological innovation, and real-world applications.
