The 18th International Conference on Geoinformatics was successfully colsed on June 20th 2010 at Beijing

Dear all CPGISers,
The 18th International Conference on Geoinformatics (Geoinformatics 2010) was successfully held on June 18-20 at Peking University, Beijing.
The conference consists of plenary session, 1 student paper competition session, 6 special sessions, 34 general sessions, 3 poster sessions, and two workshops. In the plenary session, there are 5 professionals from academia and governments given the welcome addresses and 9 keynote speakers gave excited high-level professional speeches. The student paper competition session, chaired by Prof. Xun Shi, chose four students as the first, second and third (2) place awardees.
The conference received more than 600 submissions, and about 550 professionals and students who come from 18 countries and districts participated in the conference. Lots of our CPGIS members came to the conference and played very important roles in the conference. For example, the workshop for Junior and Future Faculty, organized by Prof. Lin Liu, has attracted a wide interest.
